These are better cords than the original Apple cords. Better quality IMHO.This is great to be use when you’re in the living room and your extension cord is not long enough or in the car and you have to reach in the back with guests or other stuff overall I really like itUnfortunately it didn’t last a year. I noticed the cord started to unravel around months.First time purchasing a braided cable and man is this thing nice! Have been using it for over 5 months now. This cable stays in my car. I paired it with a belkin fast charging car charger and together they charge my phone FASTAfter not to long of having it, it now doesnt work most of the timeVery high quality braided USB. Yes you can get cables at discount stores for a lot less but you will replace them many times over before you need to replace this cable. You get what you pay for. Well worth the price…….on cheap cords, BUY THIS ONE! Wish I had know about these!The 1m cord length is just right for me. The “armor” around the cord gives it extra protection but it remains nicely flexible.I ordered an Apple Type-C 20w charger along with this cable so that I can charge my dad's iPhone to charge quickly instead of the botched 5w charger that Apple provides in-box.The cable works fine with the charger and the quickcharging actually works.Unfortunately, when I use the same cable to connect to iTunes, the software doesn't even recognize an iPhone is conncered. There's no prompt both on the desktop as well as on the iPhone itself. If I use the cable that was in-boxl, lo and behold, everything works like it should.Now, don't get me wrong. I have used a dozen Belkin products in the past and while their aftersales support in India isn't even remotely one of the best, they are okay. Their service is at par with other local brands. That's it, there's nothing to boast even though their products are of very good quality.But come on! They are claiming this product to be certified by Apple, yet the latter's own desktop software fails to recognize their own iPhone when this cable is used. How can that be?I tested with MacBook 60watt charger and iPhone 11.Charges from 10 to 50% in about half an hour as advertised.Charges to 80 percent in an hour.Check out my photo. The cable is braided yet soft finish almost feels like fabric unlike one of those Boat black color braided cables. So it should be less of a struggle to take it out from the steering column of my car in case if it were go get tangled in there.Unlike There is a little bit of wiggle when I try to move the cable while it is connected to the phone or usb c end. Hence I’m giving 4 stars. I would have rather bought Apple cable had I known about the fit.Got the cable for my Mum who’s in hospital and needed the longer cable to be able to charge her phone from bed. The lightning charging part of the cable has come off and nowhere to be seen. Possibly stuck in the end of my Mums iPhone! Belkin are normally quality products! Well not this one!Disappointing!It look well made, but took ages to charge iPhone 13 pro max,As soon as I opened the box, I was shocked, it was used & a duplicate after market product which was not worth Rs. 30/-I paid around Rs. 1500/- for Belkin Cable,Please Amazon & Belkin take this on a serious note, Duplicate products are sold from this vendor, black list this vendor, so it does not happen again.
