I purchased this as a gift to my husband not realizing it was something that needed to be installed by the dealership. Oh well. SO we went to get it installed and THEY had never done it before because it's usually installed by the manufacturer when the car is initially purchased. Just has a heads up. Everything worked out, but it was an extra $300 we needed to drop on the installation. The product works great and he loves the function. If you're car savvy and feel VERY confident, go for it. If not, prepare to pony up!
